Your Denver Affair Recovery Therapist, Cara
I’m Cara Allan, a licensed marriage and family therapist and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist with nearly 20 years of experience. I’ve sat with couples in the rawest moments after discovery, and I’ve watched many find their way back to each other. My job is to help you get there honestly, whatever “there” turns out to be.
I don’t rush the process or offer easy answers. I draw on attachment-based approaches like PACT, along with CBT and betrayal trauma-informed techniques, to help you understand the attachment injury underneath the affair and what it will take to repair it. My goal isn’t to tell you whether to stay together. It’s to help you get clear enough to choose for yourself.
Healing from an affair is hard, but it can also be the beginning of a stronger relationship.
